Posey Questions Washington on Accountability
U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, who quite literally wrote the book on government accountability while he served in the Florida Senate, recently asked the U.S. treasury department about the accountability stadards of its new Office of Financial Research.
Posey was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008 following the retirement of Brevard's long-time U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon. He served previously in the Florida House of Representatives and in the Florida Senate following his early public service on the Rockledge City Council.
Posey's commitment to governmental accountability not only led to his published book on the subject, but also netted the congressman a prestigious distinguished state legislator award.
